What do I do when someone dies?

We’re very sorry for your loss. When someone passes away, it can be difficult to know what to do next.

If your loved one has died at home, a doctor will need to be contacted to confirm the passing. If they are in a hospital or aged care facility, staff will guide you through the initial steps. Emergency services can also assist if they are present.

Once this has been done, you can contact our South Grafton team at any time. We’ll explain what happens next in clear, simple terms and arrange to bring your loved one into our care.
